I Am Here

I Am Here 8 26 17

I am here
Alive and ready for this path
No matter the joys the pains or how often
My feet may pause or my tongue may become still
Though my eyes may not appear to see
All going on around me on my path
And my ears my not seem to hear the laughter the crying
And my hands may not move to heal pain to defeat evil

I am here Smelling the trees as they quietly grow season to season
And looking over the grasses and the flowers and the skies
And sending joy out to all who look upon such scenes
With their eyes with their imaginations with their memories
As they seek refuge in their darkest night or to make their noon brighter

Together, we grow our strength ever beyond strong
Fed by hope and love even as whirlwinds uproot lives all around us
And give rise to fears from hellish pasts or intimidating futures

In the stillness of our souls as the power of The Universe
Cleanses our every cell, flowing through us replenishing us
No matter how far apart we are measured by mere miles mere lifetimes
As we remain eternally joined through our souls

We are here
Alive and ready for our intertwined paths
As The Universe’s DNA

A Gathering Storm at Sunset

Phoenix to Windfall 10 13 2015 088

A gathering storm at sunset greeted my return to my distant home,
The sun given only the slightest piece of sky as darkened clouds
Settled across the hillside, itself shorn of its crops;
All in anticipation of a cold damp rain that invited memories
Of past vibrant fall days rapidly yielding to harsh winters.

My mailbox, earlier filled by the postman in his battered jeep
Now occupied my attention as I made my way through offers, bills, and magazines
Ignoring the magical art The Universe was busy painting on the horizon
Until the piercing light flowed from hilltop to my colorblind eyes.

My lap full of mail, I slowly guided my car away from the end of the drive
And saw the gathering storm at sunset not only with my eyes and heard its few
Heavy rain drops not only with my ears, but disembarked from my vehicle
And became one with it as I experienced the magic of The Universe.

Breaking Gravity (Breaking Drag)

PHX to PHL to ELM October 11 2015 028

Held down by our heaviness,
The drag of our inertia,
The weight of our fears,
The burden of our baggage,
We stay tight to our world.
We fight to remain not only grounded
But so firmly attached to our idea of life
That movement is impossible.

In the laws of spiritual metaphysics,
Propulsion and lift
Overcome
Gravity and drag.

Propel, propel, propel!
Allow yourself
To
Be propelled
By all you have achieved,
By the infinite ways
You’ve
Survived and thrived
When
Measured ONLY against you!
Allow yourself
To
Be propelled
By the love and other gifts
You
Are giving!
Allow yourself
To
Be propelled
By your drive to be, love, and grow!

Lift, lift, lift!
Allow yourself
To
Be lifted
By those who love you
Whether
They be animal, human, or spirit!
Allow yourself
To
Be lifted
By the gifts you are receiving!
Allow yourself
To
Be lifted by those who
Believe in you (even when you won’t)!

Build your runway
From your dreams
To run down
At full speed,
With all your passion,
With all your energy,
With all your faith and surrender!

Sleek and streamlined,
Feel the air glide
Over
Your body, mind, soul, and life
And create a cushion beneath you:
Watch your wheels lift off,
Watch your ground break away,
Watch your old world fall away,
And
Watch your sky approach!

Eating in Seattle (Cannabis Sky)

Edmonds Oct 7 2015 341

When I ate in Seattle,
A puff of cannabis
Scented
The anonymous air
Under a
Rainy overcast sky:
I was a Cannabis Sky.

It could have been Wednesday
As faceless people passed.

I knew this couple:
I could feel his eyes
Looking straight ahead.
He thought about his children,
Embracing sadness.

I considered sampling the cheese tray
As I spied the Space Needle
Out the window,
Across the street,
And just beneath the clouds.

I really knew this couple:
I could see the insecurity
In her eyes
As she looked at people
Without making eye contact
And
She considered her husband,
Himself
So lost in his children.

I contemplated playing chess
With my LoverWife
Later that night
After we finished our cheese platter
And
Digested our Raymond Carver.

I know people
When their joy
When their sadness
When their thoughts
Penetrate the Cannabis Sky
And
I’m
Knowing all experiences
That
Pass through me like spirits.

Knowing isn’t owning,
It’s just being
Alive,
So fully alive
In the here and now
Under the Empathic Sky.

I Apologize 2 No 1

September 26 2015 111

I Apologize
2no1
4 being
Even IF.

I apologize
2no1
4 being
Even IF
My being makes
U uncomfortable.

I apologize
2no1
4 living beyond
My past pain
4 loving beyond
My past loves
Even IF
U can’t embrace that.

I apologize
2no1
4 not being good enough
4 not being man enough
4 not being nurturing enough
Even IF
U can’t honor my path.

I apologize
2no1
4 knowing souls
4 dancing with spirits
4 experiencing other’s feelings
Even IF
That scares
U
And doesn’t fit
In your narrow mind.

I apologize
2no1
4 being like a tree
4 reaching skyward
4 growing deeper my roots
Even IF
U can’t be inspired,
U can’t grow, and
U can’t be alive.

I apologize
2no1
4 being a grounded dreamer
4 writing my soul
4 the worlds inside my head
Even IF
U judge,
U mock, and
U condemn.

I apologize
2no1
4 really loving me
Even IF
U r envious
U can’t be a miracle, and
U can’t embrace miracles.

I apologize
2no1
4 embracing bliss
Even IF
U flock to pain,
U welcome hurt, and
U seek out disappointment.

I apologize
2no1
4 honoring U
4 honoring your path,
Even IF
U can’t give 2 me
The same honors.

The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych

May 23 2015 165

The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych

A night of dreams
A night of visions
A night of hells
One upon
One upon
One
They seeped
Into
My dream world,
The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych.

Behold the first:
Overhead a helicopter flew
Then
Another
Another
Another;
The air now filled
By
Swarming mechanized gnats
Dodging
Flying
Creating
Aggressive war visuals
That killed in the skies
That killed on the lands
That killed in the waters
Whilst
I, with perfect hair
I, with perfect t-shirt
I, with perfect jeans
Worked on my hot rod
On that summer’s day
And knew killing would take me.

A night of dreams
A night of visions
A night of hells
One upon
One upon
One
They invaded
My dream world,
The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych.
Behold the second:
A great white light erased
Copters, warriors, and car
As
I stood
Watching Earth and Sky
Join in a bright white light
Vaporizing all matter
Like a celestial laser beam
Growing in a lethal ripple
In whiteness hotter than fire.
No flames did burn
As all matter instead vaporized
Into whiteness.
I smiled and waited
For
Devouring light
To consume
Earth,
To consume
Sky,
To consume
Me.

A night of dreams
A night of visions
A night of hells
One upon
One upon
One
They devoured
My dream world,
The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych.

Behold the third:
Whiteness became lush green
From the back
Of the stake truck
I rode in the jungle
With my son
As
A horde of monkeys,
Starving,
Emerged
From everywhere.
“The animals are king,”
I said,
“We are their meals
As we occupy the bottom
Of nature’s food
Chain.”
They feasted on him,
They feasted on the driver,
Leaving room for dessert:
Me.

A night of dreams
A night of visions
A night of hells
One upon
One upon
One
They defined
My dream world,
The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych
Consumed me by aggressive men
Consumed me by celestial disaster
Consumed me by ravenous animals:
Yet,
My serenity remained unshaken;
Yet,
My faith remained unshaken;
Yet,
My love remained unshaken:
One upon
One upon
One
These gifts define
My path beyond
The Apocalyptic Dream Triptych.

The Lynx, The King, The World (Lights within Shining)

July 14 2015 Sedona and Phoenix 093

The lynx, the king, the world
(Lights within shining):
No simple trio,
These three
Making themselves known
In
A brilliant burst
Of
Light
Like a volcanic rainbow
Descending
From the Heavens,
Ascending
From the Earth:
Heaven to Earth,
Earth to Heaven
Celestial current
Passing through
Me,
A spiritual wire my body.

Behold
The spirit manifesting
The lynx,
The king,
The world.

The lynx, the king, the world
(Voices within calling):
Asking within
Telling within
Showing within
Faster and faster
The insights they bring
Tickle my consciousness
And
Move me beyond thinking
Move me beyond knowing
Move me beyond the mundane
And
Immerse me
In the profound stillness
Of this moment unending.

The lynx, the king, the world
(Awareness within emerging):
The secrets within
The secrets without
The secrets of past
The secrets of now
I
See in the faces
Of
Strangers no more,
I
Hear in the unspoken whispers
Of
Wounded children healing,
I
Touch in the flesh
Of
Still weeping souls.

The lynx, the king, the world
(Trumpets within blaring):
The song within
The dance within
The wonder within:
Be aware
How it connects
The you
To
The me
Vibrating
Vibrating
Vibrating like waves
Across
This universe’s spectrum.

The lynx, the king, the world
(Wonder within growing):
The eternal immersion
In
The
World of wonder
So
Taken by the what ifs,
So
Taken by the how thens,
So
Taken by the new worlds
Opening
All around me.
I,
No longer the hermit
No longer ashamed
No longer desperate
No longer
The lone
Prisoner
Of
My prisoner’s perspective:
HA
HA
HA!

The lynx, the king, the world
(Limbs within moving):
Dancing among abundance
Celebrating
All
That is good,
All
That is right,
All
That is blissful
As
The tower collapses
And
Brings
Evolution,
Bliss,
Redemption.

This Place We Call Love (To Kathy)

With Love 6 23 15

Caught as we were
Between then and then
Between them and them
Moments made into nightmares
We so often left behind.

I am
Writing on the wind
As
You sleep
Miles below
Miles behind,
Your smile inspires me
Your touch calms me
Your words calm me.

We are The Lovers
We are this path
Regardless of its turns
Regardless of its challenges.

We are The Lovers
Living in this place we call love
Loving across the miles
Bound by our hearts
Bound by our souls
Bound by our love.

As I now sit
Spread out across three plane
Seats,
My computer dimly lit
As
My fingers again
Unabashedly proclaim
My love
Your love
Our love,
I hear your laughter
From
The quiet
Of
Our nights
Erupting from
Inside jokes,
Body noises,
The challenges of our world,
All
Dealt with lightly and with wit.

This place we call love
This place we call love
Has no limits of space
Has no limits of time
Has no limits of being.

This place we call love
Is ours
And
All ours
For an eternity.

When You Find That Place (Where You Need to Die)

When You Find That Place To Die

When you find that place
(Where you need to die)
By
Turning and running
Full speed
Toward the pains
Toward the voids
Toward the fears
Toward the insecurities
That
Pollute your waking,
That
Pollute your dreaming,
That
Pollute your loving,
That
Pollute your soul.

When you explore that place
(Where you need to die),
And
You make it sacred
By calling upon
Forces and others
Greater than you
Who you can now acknowledge
As
Having greater love,
As
Having greater wisdom,
As
Having greater faith,
As
Having greater respect,
In
You
Than you ever allowed yourself.

When you can share that place
(Where you need to die),
It is not your tears
It is not their tears
It is everyone’s tears
That form monsoons
And
Raise the streams
And
Fill the dry washes
And
Flashflood away
The
Pain and debris
That
Littered the terrain
Of
Your soul
Your body
Your life
That
You once judged
That
You once knew
That
You once lived
As
Being
So
Incapable
Of amounting
Of attaining
Of healing
Of being
Of loving.

When you heal in that place
(Where you once died),
You
Become the sun
(Beyond the day),
You
Become the moon
(Beyond the night),
You
Become the star
(Beyond the universe),
You
Become the wind
(Beyond the breeze),
You
Become the rain
(Beyond the storm),
You
Become the moment
(Beyond all time),
You
Become the voices
(Beyond all words),
You
Become the songs
(Beyond all music),
You
Become the path
(Beyond all dogma),
And
Pleasing
To
The Angels.

When the Mountain in You Moves (When the Mountain Comes Alive in You)

When the Mountain in You Moves

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you)
And
You know that you know
Beyond words
Beyond thoughts
Beyond feelings,
You are strong beyond strength
Aware beyond aware
In the here
In the now
As boundaries
Between
You and me,
Between
Them and us
Evaporate.

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you)
And
The mountain in you quakes,
Shattering strata
That have settled and pressed
With all the weight of your fear
With all the weight of your inertia
With all the weight of your loss
With all the weight of your shame
With all the weight of your regret
With all the weight of your disappointment
With all the weight of your grief.

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you),
It does not hear
It does not regard
It does not abide
All the trees and grasses
That found purchase
In the compromises of your soul
In the compromises of your body
In the compromises of your mind.

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you)
In
Unison
With sun and moon,
In
Unison
With Raven, Eagle and Owl,
In
Unison
With love and acceptance,
In
Unison
With faith and surrender;
You will know beyond thinking
You will listen beyond hearing
You will speak beyond talking
And love beyond feeling.

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you),
You will make
And
Erase valleys,
Crush oaks
And
Scatter new seeds
In
Your time
Of
Your liquid bedrock.

When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you)
And
You create fresh sands
And
New peaks to look upon your world,
No dreams of stone
No dreams of mud
No dreams are needed,
And when who you were
Is
No longer needed by who you now are,
Then you are
The mountain you need to be
The mountain you must be
For another momentary eternity
Until
When the mountain in you moves
(When the mountain comes alive in you)
Once again…
